  • Dr. Adam Kaufman - Executive :

    Dr. Kaufman is the 2011-2012 CAIR President.

    Dr. Kaufman studied medicine at the University of Toronto. He remains there for residency and is now a PGY 3 Family Medicine/Emergency Medicine Resident at the University of Toronto.

    Dr. Kaufman received the Department of Family and Community Medicine Resident Leadership Award in 2011 for his exceptional contribution to the postgraduate program in leadership activities.

    Dr. Kaufman served on CAIR's Advocacy and Policy Committee in 2010-2011, and has represented CAIR at a number of stakeholder meetings, in particular at the College of Family Physicians of Canada.

    • Dr. Sasha Ho Farris Nyirabu - Executive :

      Dr. Nyirabu is CAIR's Past President.

      She is a graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine (Grenada, West Indies). She is currently a PGY3 Family Medicine Resident in the Northern, Rural and Remote stream at the University of Manitoba.

      Dr. Nyirabu served as Chair of CAIR's Advocacy and Policy Committee in 2009-2010 and as CAIR's president in 2010-2011.


      • Dr. Gillian Shiau - Executive :

        Dr. Shiau is CAIR's Vice-President.

        Dr. Shiau is a graduate of the University of British Columbia's medical school. She is a PGY2 Diagnostic Radiology resident at the University of Calgary.

        Dr. Shiau served as Chair of CAIR's Finance, Audit and Risk Committee in 2010-2011.


        • Dr. Jonathan DellaVedova - Executive :

          Dr. DellaVedova is CAIR's Secretary

          Dr. DellaVedova is a graduate of the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. He is currently a PGY3 Paediatrics Resident at McMaster University.

          Dr. DellaVedova served as CAIR's Education and Professionalism Committee Chair in 2010-2011.

          • Dr. Stephen Tilley :

            Dr. Tilley is serving his second term as CAIR's Treasurer.

            Dr. Tilley received his Doctor of Medicine from Memorial University. He returned to Memorial for his Internal Medicine residency. Dr. Tilley is now a PGY 4 resident at the University of Calgary, where he is training in Adult Cardiology.

            Dr. Tilley was a member of the CAIR Board in 2009-2010, during his term as president of the Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Newfoundland (PAIRN)


  • Dr. Angela Bussey :

    Dr. Bussey is a PGY 3 General Surgery resident at Memorial University. She is the 2011-2012 president of the Professional Association of Interns and Residents of Newfoundland (PAIRN).


    • Dr. Paul Dhillon :

      Dr. Dhillon completed his medical degrees at the National University of Ireland. After further training in the United Kingdom and the United States, he returned to Canada. He is now a PGY1 Family Medicine resident at the University of Saskatchewan.

      Dr. Dhillon is the designated representative to the CAIR Board of the president of the Professional Association of Internes and Residents of Saskatchewan. (PAIRS)

      • Dr. Mathieu Dufour :

        Dr. Dufour is a graduate of the medical school at l'Un iversité de Sherbrooke. He is a PGY5 Psychiatry Resident at the University of Ottawa. He is also the 2011-2012 president of the Professional Association of Interns and Residents of Ontario (PAIRO).

        Dr. Dufour has served as the Chair of CAIR's Education and Professionalism Committee (2009-2010) and as Vice-President of CAIR (2010-2011).


        • Dr. Matthew Frey :

          Dr. Frey is a graduate of the University of British Columbia medical school. Dr. Frey is presently a PGY2 Family Medicine resident at the University of Calgary.


  • Dr. Vishal Bhella :

    Dr. Bhella is the chair of CAIR's Education & Professionalism Committee

    Dr. Bhella completed his medical degree at McMaster University. He is now a PGY3 Family Medicine at the University of Western Ontario. He is presently pursuing an Academic Fellowship which includes the completion of a Masters of Clinical Sciences degree.


    • Dr. John Paul Harmon :

      Dr. Harmon is the Chair of CAIR's Advocacy & Policy Committee

      Dr. Harmon graduated with his medical degree from Dalhousie University. He is now a PGY3 Internal Medicine Resident at Dalhousie University's training site in Saint John, New Brunswick.

      Dr. Harmon served on the Advocacy and Policy Committee in 2010-2011.


      • Dr. Mark Masterson :

        Dr. Masterson is the Chair of CAIR's Finance, Audit & Risk Committee

        Dr. Masterson completed his medical degree and a Masters of Science degree at the University of Calgary. He is a PGY5 Anaesthesia Resident at the University of British Columbia.

        Dr. Masterson has served CAIR in a number of capacities, including Chair of the Advocacy and Policy Committee in 2010-2011.


        • Dr. Simon Moore :

          Dr. Moore is Chair of CAIR's Member Outreach Committee

          Dr. Moore studied medicine at the University of British Columbia. He is now a PGY2 Family Medicine Resident at the University of British Columbia's Nanaimo training site.


  • Dr. Ruban Gnanakumar :

    Dr. Gnanakumar earned his medical degree at the University of Calgary. He is currently a PGY3 Diagnostic Radiology resident at the University of Manitoba.

    Dr. Gnanakumar is serving a second term on CAIR's Awards Committee.


    • Dr. Carla Holinaty :

      Dr. Holinaty studied medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. She is presently a PGY2 Family Medicine resident at the University of Saskatchewan.


      • Dr. Richard Liu :

        Dr. Liu completed medical school at the University of Alberta. He is now a PGY3 in General Surgery at Dalhousie University. Dr. Liu is the 2011-2012 president of the Professional Association of Residents in the Maritime Provinces (PARI-MP)


        • Dr. David Ward :

          Dr. Ward graduated from the medical school at the University of Calgary. He is presently a PGY3 Internal Medicine Resident, also at the University of Calgary. He is the 2011-2012 President of the Professional Association of Resident Physicians of Alberta (PARA).


          • Dr. Markus Ziesmann :

            Dr. Ziesmann studied medicine at the University of Manitoba and returned there for his residency training. He is currently a PGY2 General Surgery Resident. Dr. Ziesmann sits on the CAIR Board on behalf of the co-presidents of the Professional Association of Residents and Interns of Manitoba (PARIM)


        • Dr. Joanna Oda :
          Dr. Joanna Oda is a resident at the University of British Columbia.
